Osteology Centre was launched in 1994 and has been led by Jan Slesinger, Dr.Med. and Dr. Vet. Med. From the beginning there were examined approx. 80.000 patients.

The main activities:

• Osteology department: Diagnostics and therapy of osteoporosis and other metabolic diseases of skeleton, internal and renal diseases. Therapy of erectile dysfunction.
• Medical Rehabilitation Department: Medical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, e.g. electrotherapy, hydrotherapy; individual and group exercise.
• Instrumentation of the Osteology dpt.: Instrumentation: Whole body densitometers DXA Hologic Discovery and Elite with the morphometry.
• Scarlett Club of osteoporotic patients is an integral part of Osteology Centre: group exercise, consultations, talks, excursions, curative stays by the Mediterranean Sea.

Physicians of the Osteology department are members of the Society for Metabolic Diseases of Skeleton, Czech Medical Association J.Ev. Purkyne (member of IOF). Dr. Slesinger is a member of the Czech National Osteoporosis Foundation.
